Experienced Tree Surgeons
Trees are things of beauty. But sometimes they can become
diseased, or just too big or untidy and need attention from a
competent tree surgeon. Here at M&F Treecare we can give
your trees big or small the care and attention they need.
Our
services include, tree felling, crown lifting, lopping,
pollarding and stump grinding. Foliage and smaller boughs are
chipped, and if desired larger boughs can be cut into suitable
sizes for a wood fire once they have been seasoned.
We
operate safely, with respect for your property, and tidy up
behind ourselves. We have full public liability insurance and
pride ourselves on doing a good job at a fair price clearly
stated up front.
We are
NPTC certified
( National Proficiency Tests Council) to safely fell and
process trees including working at height.
Where a
tree is subject to a TPO (Tree Preservation Order), or is
situated in a Conservation Area, then planning permission is
required before any work takes place on it. Wokingham District
Council maintains a
convenient map
showing all trees in the district subject to TPOs. A
similar map
is available for Bracknell Forest Council. Please refer to
these maps if you suspect you may be affected by a Tree
Preservation Order.
A Selection of our Services
Stump Grinding and Stump Removal
Where a tree stump is in the way or interfering with planting, and is too large to dig out, it can be ground down with a stump grinder.
Crown lifting
Removal of the lower branches of a tree to allow light in, and to create space underneath the crown.
Hard Crown Reduction
Significant cutback of the canopy of a tree where it is overhanging property or has grown too large for its surroundings. It can look alarming, but the tree soon recovers.
Access by Cherry Picker
Where a tree is judged to be unsafe to climb we can use a cherry picker. In this picture a dead Silver Birch is being dismantled.

Zac McKeown
Role: Principle climber
Experience: 10+ years
Expertise: Zac has been climbing trees since childhood. For the last ten years he has had the fun of being paid to do it.
George Faulkner
Role: Climber and ground operator
Experience: 10 years
Expertise: It is a requirement whenever someone is working up a tree to have a person on the ground trained in aerial rescue. George keeps Zac safe and looks after everything on the ground.
Zac and George have been working together as a team for ten years for a well known local firm. They like working together, and they like their job. Now they have taken the leap to start their own tree surgery business and look forward to meeting clients both old and new as M&F TreeCare.
